For over 55 years, Dance Theatre of Harlem has been a beloved and groundbreaking force — a singular presence in the ballet world. Founded by Arthur Mitchell—the first African American principal dancer at New York City Ballet—DTH was born from a bold vision to shatter barriers and redefine ballet as a more inclusive, vibrant art form. Since then, the company has transformed lives and inspired audiences worldwide with its dynamic blend of classical mastery and contemporary innovation.

DTH’s diverse repertory will showcase treasured works by George Balanchine alongside contemporary masterpieces by William Forsythe, Jodie Gates, and Artistic Director Robert Garland. Each performance reveals the extraordinary technical skill, emotional depth, and courageous spirit of its dancers, who embody the DTH legacy.

Hailed by Playbill as “poised to continue redefining classical ballet as a vital, relevant artform” and praised by The New York Times for its “dazzling technique and powerful theatricality,” Dance Theatre of Harlem stands as a shining example of resilience, creativity, and the transformative power of dance.
